My Story

My story is straight forward, after years of corporate media life, my fitness both mentally and physically was in a bad way. My weight was far to heavy for my thin frame and my diet was poor and was on a fast track for all sorts of health problems. Last October, the line was drawn and have been seeing a personal trainer three times a week.
I have not only dropped 10kgs but have focused on strength training and started running again. This has also helped inmmensly with my mental health. Looking forward to competing in a number of big events later this year.

We all think one prick is too many pricks. Now imagine if that one prick turned into 8, every day for the rest of your life …. ….

This is what faces approximately 120,000 Australians every year for the rest of their lives. This is incredibly daunting for an adult, but almost inconceivable for a child of 4 or 5. As you can see from our photo, Type 1 Diabetes does not discriminate, and affects everyone, of all ages. Type 1 Diabetes is still something that, as yet, the medical profession has not been able to find a cure for.

Our team Too Many Pricks, is raising money and awareness for JDRF, whose mission is a future without Type 1 Diabetes. Along with JDRF, Too Many Pricks goal is to turn Type 1 into Type None and this can only happen with the generosity of those supporting our team.

We thank you in advance for your support and can only ask you to give generously for this fabulous cause and pass on this fundraising effort to everyone and anyone.

Many thanks to our foundation sponsors:
