My daughter Jemima has Type 1 Diabetes. She was diagnosed at the age of 2 in Saudi Arabia where I was working as an Australian diplomat. I'm now living in India, and Jemima is now 6. With your help, we are walking the 100km Kokoda Track in June for more than just a good time! This journey, in honour of bulging middle-aged waistlines and the ANZAC spirit, will also hopefully inspire you to pull out your credit card to cure Type 1 Diabetes.
The team includes me, Thomas Paterson of Beston Food Group, Russell Cavill, CEO of Lawson Grains, and our young pup Jake Cavill, a top-tier law student at a third-tier university. This isn’t the first time we have raised some cash for kids. In 2016, several of us climbed Kilimanjaro and raised $20,000 for JDRF.
I'd encourage you to get behind our walk, donate for the cure, and get a tax deduction at the same time.
